MN12 Performance Inc. Polyurethane Shock Mount Kit Install


Installation:
From inside the car pull rear carpet back to expose the shock mount.
Then remove the nut and cupped washer.
Remove the upper rubber isolator from the shock. Repeat for the other side.
Next
Jack up the rear and support.
Then remove the wheels.
Remove the shock lower bolt to lower control arm and remove the shock. Repeat for the other side.
Once the shocks are out examine them for leaks or damage.
Next
Using a socket and a hammer pound the metal sleeve out of the factory rubber bushing. Next remove the factory rubber bushing from the lower shock eye. (Save the sleeve it will be reused.)
(New polyurethane bushings are included for the lower shock eyes. 1 per side.)
Small amount of dish washing soap will help install the polyurethane bushing in the lower shock eye.
Insert the origional metal sleeve into the new polyurethane bushing.
Applying soap to the inside of the polyurethane bushing will help.
A hammer can be used to seat the bushings in the lower eye.
Repeat procedure for the other shock.

Before reinstalling the shock insert metal sleeve into lower bushing and insert into shock mounting
hole as shown.
Note: If lower bushing does not sit flat against the OEM washer use one of the supplied washer.
Then insert the shock into the frame as shown.
Reconnect the shock to lower control arm bolt and tighten.
From inside the car install upper bushing over the sleeve then add washer or washers to the top
and tighten down with nut.
Tighten nut down until it stops.
Repeat for other side.
IMPORTANT: Factory and aftermarket use different washers so if your lower washer does not allow the bushings to sit flat please use the supplied washers.
Reinstall wheels and lower the car.
