Air Filter Kit Installation

Jack passengers side of car and remove front wheel.

Remove inner fender splash shield from car. (3 screws in front of the wheel two under the front clip and one behind the wheel) It's best to use a pair of pliers to pull the center pin from the 3 push pins holding the splash shield in place.

Once the fender splash shield is removed, remove the air filter from the air box and remove the air box by unscrewing the three 11mm nuts holding the box to the fender.

Next install the insulation tape on the top of the air box.

Trim the tape so each corner is flush.

Next assemble the air filter on the 90 degree elbow and tighten the hose clamp down.

Next install the air filter assembly inside the fender well pushing all 3 studs through the fender.

Next bolt the bottom of the air box to the air filter assembly.

Next you will need to bend the clips slightly to allow better sealing when the top and bottom air box assemblies are put together.

Once the Air Filter Kit is installed the only way to see the 9" cone filter from under the hood is to look behind the headlights.

Reinstall the intake tube between the throttle body and mass air (reconnect the MAF connector to the MAF). Then reinstall the fender splash shield and front wheel.
